\r\n <\/strong>Steve Alten\u2019s historical-fiction novel, „The Shell Game,” suggests a near-future scenario as it relates to the events of September Eleven. Alten\u2019s science-fiction books have reached the NY Times Bestseller List in the past. He is a well-known figure on the TV and Radio Talk-Show circuit. With „The Shell Game,” Alten strays from his built-in science-fiction readership in the direction of a political thriller–a move clearly motivated by the fear of history repeating itself. As Alten tells it, another false-flag attack on American soil would propel us into Martial Law and a war with Iran. In addition to being an informative source of political machinations, „The Shell Game” offers a great insight into Peak Oil, as well as environmental concerns.<\/p>\r\n
